test your drag clicking speed
This drag click test measures the fastest clicking technique there is: dragging your fingertip across the mouse button so the switch bounces and fires a burst of clicks from one motion. The test runs for 10 seconds and counts every registered click — a good drag sounds like a buzz and shows up as a sharp spike on your per-second graph.
Fair warning: drag clicking is as much a hardware test as a skill test. Most office mice physically can't do it — you need bouncy switches, a grippy button surface and forgiving debounce, which is why drag clickers favor specific gaming mice and add grip tape. Expect 20–30+ CPS when it works, versus 6–8 for normal clicking on the cps test. If your mouse won't cooperate, the butterfly click test is the fastest technique that works on ordinary hardware — and the technique comparison guide explains why most servers ban drag clicking in actual matches.

What is drag clicking?
Drag clicking is a technique where you drag your fingertip across the mouse button while pressing lightly, so friction makes the switch bounce and register a rapid burst of clicks from a single motion. It produces 20 to 30+ CPS — by far the fastest clicking technique.
How do I drag click?
Slightly dampen or clean your fingertip for grip, press the button at a shallow angle with light pressure, and drag your finger from the back of the button toward the front in one smooth motion. You should hear a grinding buzz — that vibration is the switch registering clicks. It takes experimentation to find the right pressure.
Why does drag clicking not work on my mouse?
Most mice cannot drag click. It needs switches that bounce easily, a button surface with enough friction, and firmware that does not debounce the burst away. Mice popular for drag clicking include models from Roccat, Glorious and Bloody; glossy worn buttons and heavy debounce both kill it. Players often add grip tape to the button for more friction.
What is a good drag clicking CPS?
A working drag click typically lands 15 to 25 CPS per drag, and skilled users chaining drags sustain 25 to 30+ over a 10 second test. Scores far beyond that are possible in short bursts. If you get normal-clicking numbers, the drag is not registering — usually a hardware limitation.
Is drag clicking allowed in games?
Usually not in competitive play. One finger motion producing dozens of inputs looks identical to an autoclicker to anti-cheat systems, so most Minecraft servers, including Hypixel, ban it. It also wears out mouse switches quickly. Treat drag clicking as a fun benchmark rather than a technique to use in real matches.
